With the current election season full of insults, bickering, and name calling, our Shared InquiryTM method teaches students how to listen, share respect, and engage in civil discourse. Seventh graders at The Lexington Academy in New York City had an incredible Shared Inquiry discussion about Emma Lazarus’s poem “The New Colossus,” which is about the Statue of Liberty and what she represents to people around the world.
