Great Books Employment Opportunity

Opportunity for Independent Contractors to Assist with Training

The Great Books Foundation (GBF) is looking for qualified independent training contractors to help us train leaders for and support implementations of Great Books programs around the country.

This is an opportunity for someone who is experienced with Great Books and Shared Inquiry™—to do work for GBF occasionally, on a per-diem basis. These are neither full nor part-time positions and at this time, we do not anticipate adding staff positions; the opportunity is for independent contractors only.

Minimum requirements for independent training contractors include: at least a master's degree (in education, literature, or a related field), experience teaching both K–12 students and adults, and experience with Great Books Foundation programs and the Shared Inquiry method of learning. All candidates must have completed the Foundation's core or basic leader training course.

The exact nature of the work and the rate to be paid per day may vary based on the contractor's qualifications and experience. Number of days of work available will vary based on the demand from schools for our services. Locations are likely to vary as well, but the Foundation would reimburse the contractor for reasonable travel expenses incurred.

If you or someone you know would be interested in and qualified for this opportunity, please send a resume and cover note to:
