Great Books Foundation
Help Make Reading Matter

Support the Foundation's Annual Fund Campaign

The Great Books Foundation is committed to making reading matter in schools and communities around the country. The more we can expand efforts and resources, the more we can achieve. The support of people like you—who value great literature and reading—is essential to sustaining our efforts.

Your tax-deductible contribution, no matter the size, will support reading initiatives in communities both near and far. This year's annual fundraising campaign will enable us to continue the following activities:

For Junior Great Books

  • Providing quality professional development for teachers in our nation's schools
  • Publishing outstanding inquiry-based learning materials for use across the curriculum
  • Reaching more educators by demonstrating how shared inquiry complements their educational goals
  • Researching how Junior Great Books affects learning and improves student performance on standardized tests

For Great Books for Adults

  • Publishing new anthologies from a broad range of disciplines
  • Supporting the approximately 15,000 people in 850 Great Books discussion groups across the country
  • Expanding venues for book discussions and hosting more events like our successful Great Books Chicago weekend
