What is #GivingTuesday?
Created by 92nd Street Y in 2012, #GivingTuesday has quickly become a globally recognized day dedicated to giving back during the holiday season. On this day, we have the opportunity to connect with our communities and support causes that are important to us.
In anticipation of #GivingTuesday on November 29, 2016, Great Books will spend 2016 celebrating how we have been #GivingVoice to readers and thinkers of all ages for almost 70 years. And we want to hear your story!
How can I get involved?
Share your story.
Throughout 2016, use social media and #GivingVoice and #GivingTuesday to share with us how Great Books has helped you find your voice and develop your love of reading and passion for lifelong learning.
Plus, with the launch of Her Own Accord: American Women on Identity, Culture, and Community, women of all ages can join the conversation about what it means to be a woman in the United States by tweeting us your stories using #HerVoice.
Any time during the year, and especially on Tuesday November 29, 2016, participate in the global #GivingTuesday movement by making a donation to the Great Books Foundation. By donating to our mission, you are joining in our efforts to help students, veterans, and adults in all walks of life experience the power of the written word.
Let’s all use #GivingTuesday, #GivingVoice, and #HerVoice to spread the transformative power of sharing our voices through respectful, open discussion.
