Watch K–1 students share questions and get involved through kinesthetic learning!
In Junior Great Books for grades K and 1, students learn that their thoughts about a story are valued. In the Sharing Questions activity, teachers ask students for any questions they have after a first oral reading. Their questions are posted for all to see, and answered over the course of a Junior Great Books unit.
Students also become involved through movement and choral reading activities, both of which are shown in the Second Reading video. See how students act the part of Antonio in his too-tight shoes from the Maribeth Boelts story “Those Shoes.”
