Talking Service Comes to Louisville

We’re thrilled to announce a new Talking Service program in Louisville, Kentucky! Our friends at the Louisville Free Public Library and the Southwest Regional Library are hosting a series of Talking Service discussions beginning September 8 through October 18. Local veterans, active duty military personnel, and their families are invited to participate in discussions about bonds created while serving, experiences, sacrifices, and the challenges of transitioning to civilian life. Participants will discuss selections from our anthology Standing Down: From Warrior to Civilian, created specifically for Talking Service. “The  people of Louisville recognize the value of supporting local vets and their families.” said Don Whitfield, Talking Service program director. “We’re grateful for the enthusiastic Louisville libraries staff who are eager to bring Talking Service to their community!”
